In this small village (Thinagore) known for its
fine mango orchards some 40 kilometers from Malda Town, a quiet revolution is
taking place. The journey started in the year 1997-1998 as at that time there
was no school in the vicinity and kids need to cover a distance to reach school
which became an impediment to education. With the backing of young and
dedicated teachers with a fresh vision of education the School commenced with
only 6 children. At present the number of kids reading from Classes Nursery to
Class - IV in the school is 140.
